Welcome to Barnrenovation, the Site for the
Fraley/Perkal - Barn Hayloft Conversion

Hand-hewn timbers in the interior of the barn are around 200 years old.
The structure was moved to this location in 1966.
First floor stall area will be a woodworking shop and pottery studio.
Renovation of the hayloft on the 2nd floor began October 8th, 2000 and
concluded in July, 2002.
The home owner/designer (tobin@humbugs.com) acted as contractor.
C.J. Williams of UBS, Inc. oversaw the project for the home owner.

The Goal was to create a studio space on the second floor which could be used as an office and art studio. The renovated second floor overlooks the local nature preserve. The interior of the second floor is designed to incorporate aspects of the Arts & Crafts style yet also have the feel of a cozy cabin in the woods. The exterior, as viewed from the roadway, remains unchanged except for new paint.
