| Ceiling The initial layer of materialon the ceiling is a foam core sheeting which allows for the venting of any trapped moisture. Next comes the insulation. We used #40 as is code for our area, then followed with a layer of half inch sheet rock. The final layer on the ceiling is 1x6 tongue & groove rough cedar (purchased from Home Depot.) This type of cedar was chosen to show a different texture from the smooth 1x8 cedar used on the walls. The ceiling is uncoated, also to differentiate it from the walls that have a coat a sealer applied. |
