Cupola Contruction
In the process of placing the ridge beam onto the second floor, the cupola
was temporarily removed. The crane which was used to place the ridge
beam was used to lower the cupola to the ground where it was examined for
problems. It was then determined that the interior structure of the cupola
should be attached directly to the roof with the copper peaked roof secured
later. Windows were be added where the vents were and the cupola has ended
up much sturdier than before the renovation began.
