The process was a long and difficult one but the result was worth the time, trouble and effort. This space has become a retreat for Rachel and I from the general stresses of everyday life. Many weekend mornings are spent sipping coffee on the porch overlooking the nature preserve, or curled up reading a book by the window. This is what I had in mind when we started this project and we both feel that it was well worth the wait. The furnishings were chosen to follow the Southwest and Arts & Crafts style found in many cabins in the woods. Almost all of the furnishings were purchased at the Walter E. Smithe Furniture Company. The barn is also available as a location site for catalogue and commercial photography.
