| Stairs The Staircase is constructed of cedar in an Arts & Craft style. The former entrance to the hayloft was from the interior through a hatch door. In order to maximize the usuable square footage on the second floor, the entrance was moved to the east side exterior of the barn. Four foot deep holes were dug and filled with cement beneath each pier. The depth is to place the cement below the frost line to prevent frost heaves from lifting the piers in winter. |
